“To develop ethical leaders inspired by the principles of Love, Honor, and Truth”
We at the Gamma Chi chapter of Sigma Nu are dedicated to giving back to the local community. In the past year, we have partnered with organizations such as the Boy’s and Girl’s Club, Seattle Parks, the Gage Academy of Art, and local food banks to serve over 750 hours in the Seattle area. Additionally, we regularly participate in philanthropy events hosted by UW sororities.
We also actively support fundraising for the Ben and Catherine Ivy Center for Advanced Brain Tumor Treatment at Swedish Medical Center. Our annual philanthropy, Springfest, raises money and awareness for brain cancer research. We dedicate these efforts to our fallen brother, Colin Carty. A victim of brain cancer, Colin died in 2008 at the age of 22. We fight this disease for him. See the Ivy Center website for more information on groundbreaking research, and to see what you can do to help beat brain cancer.
