Our Chef - Geri

Chef Geri!

It's well known that the kitchen is the heart of the home; I have to say it's true – our Sigma Nu kitchen is the home away from home. It's a place where you can laugh, cry, have some of the best talks and debate with your buddies for hours. It's a place of comfort and joy.

Hello,

My name is Geri Mihok. I've been the cook here at Sigma Nu since spring quarter 2002. I look forward to coming into work and knowing that something new and exciting will happen all the time. No two days are alike here – and that’s what makes my job so much fun.

I love having this wonderful band of Sigma Nu brothers that I enjoy cooking for and taking care of every day. We all take care of each other. I love that aspect. We are also a big melting pot. There are guys here at Sigma Nu from all over the world. Many different cultures coming together in fraternity. I also try and show that aspect in the food we serve every day. I make a bit of everything. Down home cooking - Americana bistro from a girl who grew up in Hawaii.

Here are a few of our menu items: We have our classic grilled cheese and tomato soup, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, pizza, gyros, mac and cheese, cheese-steaks for lunch. We have a fantastic tradition of serving breakfast for lunch every Friday; the boys absolutely look forward to this meal every week. Our dinners range from traditional meat and potatoes, stews, chicken curry with rice, tacos, pasta, shepherds pie, teriyaki, and many other items that create an variety of savory meals.

We also have many activities surrounding our food; Holiday feeds, Thanksgiving dinners, gingerbread houses for the winter season, BBQ's, medieval night feasts, tailgates, etc. You name it, we do it.

It's well known that the kitchen is the heart of the home; I have to say it's true – our Sigma Nu kitchen is the home away from home. It's a place where you can laugh, cry, have some of the best talks and debate with your buddies for hours. It's a place of comfort and joy. It's also my happy place to be sure. I would love the opportunity to cook for you. Please, drop by and have a meal with us.

Dinner is served!

Yours truly, in fraternity,

Geri Mihok
