The Gamma Chi Fund: Strengthening Our Legacy, Together
Celebrate the Momentum: Gamma Chi Is Thriving Like Never Before
Your generosity is transforming Gamma Chi. Together, we’ve achieved milestones that honor our history and secure our future—and the progress has been incredible.
Here is what we have accomplished so far, and why we need your continued support:
Modernized our Home: Renovated our 108-year-old chapter house for the next generation.
Strengthened the Network: Re-engaged alumni to build a lifelong support system.
Recruited Leaders: Boosted membership and chapter morale to a five-year high.
Expanded Opportunity: Funded scholarships that open doors for future leaders.
Now is the time to keep the momentum going. Your gift today ensures Gamma Chi remains strong for generations to come. Whether it’s preserving our historic home, funding scholarships, or creating opportunities for brotherhood, every contribution makes a difference.
⏳ Give Before Year-End!
Momentum is on our side—but we need you to keep it going.

Your Contributions in Action
Our Chapter House is the heart of Gamma Chi—a place where traditions thrive and lifelong bonds are formed.
Thanks to the generous gift from Carol and Gordy Richards ’54 and the dedication of Jeff Roberts ’80, along with support from our Capital Campaign donors, we’ve made incredible strides in modernizing and preserving our 108-year-old home.
🏠 Chapter House Improvements
Our goal is to enhance essential systems and create new spaces while honoring the historic charm of the house.
1. Functional & Safety Upgrades
Heating: Replaced the century-old oil boiler with a modern natural gas system—safer, more efficient, and environmentally responsible.
Water: Decommissioned the old oil tank and installed new high-efficiency water heaters.
Structural Integrity: Installed durable steel beams above main floor windows, tuck-pointed brickwork, eliminated lead paint, and installed new security doors.
2. Interior Modernization
The Hearth: Updated with new lighting and ceiling repairs to create a warm, inviting space.
Living Quarters: Converted older rooms into modern study/sleep spaces and added a new second-floor bathroom with heated flooring.
Accessibility: Built a new stairway connecting the exterior porch to the basketball court.
3. The "New" Second-Floor Porch Transformed into a multifunctional hub featuring:
Two new study/sleep rooms.
A new conference room.
Additional storage space.
4. Fun & Tradition
New Murals: A 22-foot custom mural of the UW campus view from the UW Tower now anchors the conference room.
Graphics: The Sigma Nu Creed (in Husky colors) and the classic "Snake" leading to the dining room honor our lore.
Looking Ahead: Designs are underway for the Third-Floor Porch and a revisioning of the lower level to add more amenity space.
🤝 Alumni Connections
Brotherhood doesn’t end at graduation. Your gift fuels the programs that keep Gamma Chi connected.
Husky Watch Parties: Cheer on the Dawgs with brothers old and new at the Chapter House.
Founders Day: Honoring our heritage at iconic venues like the HUB and Conibear Shellhouse.
Mentorship: Career-building sessions, LinkedIn workshops, and networking guidance for actives.
Adventures: From rush events to skiing at Alpental, we are bridging the gap between generations.
📈 Membership & Morale
Status: 5-Year High
Our chapter is thriving. Membership is strong, and morale is even stronger. While we were sad to say goodbye to last year’s graduating seniors, their success motivates us to keep building a chapter that prepares every brother for leadership.
🎓 Scholarship Impact

🗣️ Why We Give
Notes from the Brotherhood
"Think back on the person you were upon leaving Gamma Chi. I remember meals together, studying coursework, and walking to and from university on tree-lined Greek row." — Leslie Dunlap ’76
"It will make the Sigma Nu house a better place to live which should aid in attracting a better group of young men." — Paul Ellingson ’66
"If others before me hadn’t invested in Sigma Nu, would I have even had the chance to join our fraternity? I want to support the campaign so that Sigma Nu can continue to transform lives!" — Travis Galloway ’11
Momentum is on our side—but we need your continued support. Make your gift count before December 31 to maximize your impact and tax benefits.
