Gamma Chi Memorial Scholarships
These scholarships celebrate the enduring legacy and exceptional achievements of six distinguished brothers. Each award is named in honor of a member who embodied the ideals of Sigma Nu during their time in the house. Their contributions continue to inspire us, and through these scholarships, we aim to motivate future generations to uphold their commitment to excellence.
Scholarship Awards:
• The Gordy Richards (’53) Award for Gamma Chi Excellence & Community Service
• The Brett Roberts (’80) Award for Gamma Chi Excellence & Community Service
• The Matt Eakin (’96) Award for Ethical Leadership
• The Erik Applebee (’96) Award for Ethical Leadership
• The Colin Carty (’06) Award for Academic Achievement
• The Brant Ferrarini (’85) Award for Academic Achievement
In 2025, a total of $9,500 in scholarship funds will be awarded to honor these outstanding brothers and to support new recipients who embody their values. This marks the beginning of an enduring tradition, as we are committed to expanding the scholarship fund in the years to come—further celebrating the excellence of our past while promoting the achievements of the future.
Let us come together to honor these legacies and continue building a bright path forward for Gamma Chi Sigma Nu.
Help Support Memorial Scholarships
Donations to the Gamma Chi Fund support a variety of important initiatives, including educational improvements to the chapter house (e.g., the library, conference room, and any space designated for educational use). Additionally, contributions help fund Active Chapter Scholarships, including awards for new members who live in the house and achieve a specific GPA during their first year.
The Gamma Chi Fund also supports our Memorial Scholarships, which honor brothers who are no longer with us. These scholarships aim to identify and recognize men who exemplify Sigma Nu’s values and contribute to the chapter's ability to recruit and retain outstanding members.
